Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 April 2026

This privacy policy explains how VM Technologies (“TechVM”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses data on techvm.in and its sub-domains. The policy is written in plain English and follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).

1. Who we are

VM Technologies is a small Indian technology firm that builds software, intelligence-assessment products, and learning platforms. Content and services are offered through techvm.in and its division sites.

2. What we collect

We collect the minimum data required to deliver each service. There is no blanket tracking.

a) Contact form (/contact)

  • Name — used only to address you in replies.
  • Email address — so we can respond.
  • Subject and message body — the content of your enquiry.
  • Submission timestamp and a short reCAPTCHA score (see § 4).

Messages are stored in a private SQLite database on our server. They are not indexed, not shared with any third party, and not used for marketing.

b) Theme preference

Your light/dark mode choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key theme. This never leaves your device — it is not sent to our server.

c) Server access logs

Our web server keeps standard access logs (timestamp, URL, status code, user-agent) for 30 days to diagnose errors and detect abuse. These logs are not used to profile individual visitors.

3. What we do not collect

4. Third-party processors

A few third parties help us deliver the site. They see limited technical data:

No other first- or third-party tracking is loaded on techvm.in.

5. How long we keep it

6. Your rights under DPDP 2023

You have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email us (see § 9) with the email address you used to submit the message.

7. Security

Reasonable technical safeguards are in place: HTTPS encryption in transit, modern password hashing for the admin account, CSRF protection on state-changing forms, parameterised database queries to prevent SQL injection, rate-limiting on abusive endpoints, and a strict Content-Security-Policy. No system is 100% secure, but we minimise attack surface and patch promptly when issues are disclosed.

8. Sub-sites & divisions

TechVM operates sub-sites that may have additional privacy terms because they collect different data:

9. Contact

Questions, takedown requests, or data-subject requests?

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect when. Material changes will be announced on the home page for 30 days.
